Shahid Kaveh Ghaen power plant includes four gas units with a capacity of 157.5 MW per unit and a total of (639 MW) in ISO conditions.

This power plant is located at 12 km of Ghaen-Mashhad road and so far all units of this power plant have entered the circuit and have been permanently delivered to the employer.

The employer of this project is the Electricity Development Organization of Iran, the project consultant of Ghods Consulting Engineers Company and the project contractor of One Mapna Development Company. The capacity of the 400 kW power plant substation, the engineering, supply and construction of which is within the scope of the project employer. He has also supervised the workshop of Niroo Consulting Company in this project. The fuel of this power plant is gas and diesel. Gas plays an alternative role as the main fuel and diesel.

The construction project of Ghaen gas power plant started on January 12, 2007 and all the units of this power plant have been synchronized (entered the circuit) until 2009 and have been completely delivered to the employer by 2013.
